             Varkala is a town located 50 km north of Thiruvananthapuram city, surrounded by beautiful coastline and hills. The Sivagiri Madam and the Papanasam beach have made Varkala a place on the international map. The Samadhimandapam of Sree Narayana Guru, who has become a link in the Kerala Renaissance Movement by instilling the great saying “ One caste, one religion, one God for man” in the minds of Malayalis, is also a pilgrimage center for foreign tourists.
